Compass Minerals operates 12 production and packaging facilities with nearly 2,000 employees throughout the U.We are currently hiring a Storekeeper to join the team at our mechanical evaporation facility in Goderich, Ontario.

Compass Minerals' Goderich Plant has operated since 1867, after an unsuccessful search for oil uncovered a vast bed of rock salt under Goderich.

Using mechanical evaporation, the plant produces high-purity, fine- and coarse-grained salt products in packages and in bulk for commercial, agricultural and industrial applications.

The plant also packages rock salt from the mine that is used for deicing and water conditioning.

Goderich is a lakeside community of 8,000 people located approximately 1.This position is primary responsibility will be the management of all materials in the Storeroom, MRO Building, Electrical Shop and outside premises.

Responsible for meeting all safety and food safety requirements.

All materials will be adequately inspected, cataloged, and labeled, paying special attention to all materials that may have safety and food safety requirements.

Assembly of material kits upon request and issuing in E1, including materials written on the green sheet in the Storeroom.

Attending maintenance planning meetings to collect maintenance requests and information requests for future use and/or research. Communication will be by phone, in-person, email, and any other form as requested by maintenance personnel.
Responsible for all maintenance/cleaning and organization of materials in both Storeroom and MRO building.
Certification preferred in either materials management or maintenance/installation.
3 years of Purchasing/Stores/Maintenance/Installation work preferred.
Inventory operations; general parts or mechanical knowledge a plus. Heavy industrial experience and Pumps/Slurry experience a plus.
Must be able to work overtime.
Must have a valid driver's license.

This is a Monday-Friday position working 8 hours per day. Overtime may be required to support the operation.
