Reporting to the Communications Lead, the Engagement Specialist develops and implements strategies and approaches for ensuring the office of the Ombudsperson's publications and resources are shared as widely and effectively as possible, both internally and externally.

The position is integral to achieving key goals in both the office's strategic and operational plans and will be responsible for implementing key actions in the office's strategic communications outreach and operational plans.

The position serves as the main conduit of internal information sharing by managing the office's intranet, developing, and coordinating an internal communications strategy and ensuring information is regularly shared with staff in relation to key office initiatives and activities.
