The Financial Analysts, Payables is primaril
y is responsible for all accounts payable administrative functions. invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system. Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding.

Key Responsibilities_
Manage the accurate and timely processing of invoices, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve payment discrepancies where needed.
Review and approve payment batches, ensuring proper coding and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Reconcile accounts payable records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Generate regular reports and analysis on accounts payable activities, presenting findings to senior management as required.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industryspecific requirements.
Oversee monthend closing processes, including accruals and account reconciliations to ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications_
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the field is considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Familiarity with the railway industry or transportation sector is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in using ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical abilities to address complex accounts payable issues.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure errorfree financial operations.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to mentoring and developing team members.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment.
