Fireside Minerals Ltd. is a resource company committed to responsible mining and mineral development focusing on barite.We are currently seeking individuals for the position of
:GENERAL LABOURER. Reporting to the MINE MANAGER.
Responsibilities:
- Working in the mill when other employees are taking breaks. Must be physically fit and able to pass a respirator fit test. Very Physical Work for 612 hours per day
- Maintaining the camp. Ensuring water is being supplied to all cabins from well. Holding tanks are clean and maintained to code.
- Ensuring camp is kept in clean condition. Garbage is in bins, recycling cleaned out, etc.
- Pressure washing heavy equipment and trucks
- Cleaning of kitchen and camp bathroom.
- MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENCE
- Class 5 Minimum
- Driving into town for deliveries of parts and supplies
- Some operation of Forklift/Loader/Skid Steer once trained.
- Must be willing to work day and night shift.
- Must be willing to work 12 hour days
- Shift Schedule is 24 days on 17 days off
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Valid First Aid (Minimum Emergency OFA 1)
- Operating Heavy Equipment an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a remote camp situation
- Welding/electrical/mechanical experience an asset
