Description
The successful candidatewill be responsible for teaching math and science courses to students in Junior and Senior High, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for math and science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Teach math and science courses to students in grades Jr. & Sr. high, Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student learning Assess student progress and understanding through various methods, including quizzes, tests, and projects Provide individualized support and feedback to students as needed Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum materials and assessments Stay current with developments in math and science education and incorporate new technologies and methods into the classroom Participate in school-wide events and activities, such as open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any issues that may arise Requirements: Bachelor's of Education degree in Mathematics or Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Verification of qualifications (Alberta Teacher Certificate) and experience Verification of Teacher Qualifications Statement (TQS) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians Terms of Reference:
The hours of work will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
