Position Summary


Reporting to the Director, HR, the
HR Coordinator will provide on-site support to the HR team by coordinating and processing all employee transactions including onboarding, orientation, maintaining employee records within our HRIS system, and answering employee and manager inquiries related to employment and HR process.


Key Accountabilities

  • Onboarding and orientation of new employees to the organization including entry into HRIS, training, benefit onboarding, etc.
  • Manage new and/or current employee information in the HRIS system, and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Act as primary point of contact for general HR inquiries, providing basic advice, guidance and assistance to management and employees regarding the interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Benefit and RRSP enrolment and administration, working in collaboration with payroll.
  • General employment related support such as preparation of employee letters (i.e., employment verification, transfer/promotion, and leave letters), offboarding documentation, other general employee requests/requirements.
  • Collaborate with and support the Health and Safety team regarding WSIB/STD/LTD cases and reporting.
  • Provides support to ongoing and new HR projects/initiatives as needed, including the optimization of a new HRIS system.

Qualifications

  • A postsecondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 13 years of HR experience in an operational / administrative role
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and functions
  • Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local employment legislation laws
  • The ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fastpaced dynamic environment and provide timely responses.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and customer service, with excellent solid and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce an asset.
