Appraiser - Burnaby, Canada - Universal Appraisal

Description

_ Responsibilities Include:
_
- _Preparing accurate and reliable appraisal reports commensurate with experience level;_
- _Undertaking research to maintain and upgrade Company valuation data;_
- _Develop relationships with clients, data providers and other partners;_
- _Working with colleagues to support and be supported in the completion of appraisal assignments;_
- _Continuously improve their knowledge regarding cost, market and valuation trends;_
- _Other duties as required._


_Qualifications:
_
- _Valuation experience and / or training from the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC), American Society of Appraisers (ASA) or similar recognized body is preferred, but not essential;_
- _In the absence of valuation experience / training, a background in construction, engineering or the trades is an asset;_
- _Superior information system skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access);_
- _Experience with AutoCAD or SketchUp is an asset;_
- _Well-developed organizational, time management and project management skills;_
- _Demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines;_
- _Superior attention to detail;_
- _Excellent written and verbal communication skills;_
- _The ability to develop relationships and work well with internal and external partners;_
- _Valid BC Driver's License;_
- _Flexibility to travel._
