    Description
    Responsibilities :
  • Maintains direct contact with project supervision, quality assurance and facility management as required.
  • Understands all aspects of a project budget and liaises with facility and project management regarding all costs associated with the projects.
  • Fully understands the project scope and liaises with the owner on all scope issues related to the design specifications.
  • Ensures that the Company remains in conformance with all contract documents.
  • Ensures that design report is prepared, verified, approved, reconciled with the modified documents and final drawing as required.
  • Verifies all design output documents produced by the vendors Design Engineer.
  • May subcontract stress analysis or complete design of all or a portion of the code item(s) to approved vendor of design services from AVL.
  • Selects and reviews design methods, materials, parts, equipment and processes that are essential to the function of the structure, system or component.
  • Ensures consistent compliance with established company quality assurance standards and related procedures.
  • Ensures that design analyses have been planned, controlled and the results are documented in the design report.
  • Where design change is significant (affects form, fit, function, or design specification), reviews changes and impact on original design.
  • Ensures design report and other design output documents are reconciled to incorporate such change in modified documents used for construction, from those use in the design analysis.
  • Generate Engineering estimates as requested by Area/Division or as per Managers Instructions
  • Ensures responsibilities and accountabilities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with E.S. Fox Ltd. safety policy/procedures, ISO standards and OHSA requirements.
  • Ensures the project is executed in a safe manner following the E.S. Fox Ltd. safety policy and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ensures that environmental aspects within his/her sphere of responsibility are adhered to pursuant to ISO requirements.
  • Key Requirements, Experience and Skills: (Please ensure that the below items are documented within the resume, describing code experience as well as employment dates/locations)

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Practicing Professional Engineer designation, and in good standing.
  • Demonstrated certifiers Code knowledge.
  • 4 years of varied application experience; at least 2 years' experience in the specialty field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' working experience in TSSA pressure boundary registration requirements.
  • Minimum 4 years' working experience in CSA N.
  • Minimum 4 years' working experience with AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with ASME Section VIII Division 1, and ASME B31 Codes.
  • Continued professional development in specialty field indicating continued experience performing Design Engineer duties (Please document in resume).
  • Adept in the ability to effectively document and maintain records.
  • Ability to demonstrate qualification review every 3 years in maintaining qualification.
  • ASME Section Ill design experience will be favored in the selection process.
  • Well organized, with the ability to maintain a report or document.
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
