The
Retail Environment Activation Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Commercial and Customer Development Teams in driving sales.

This role acts as a liaison to support the executing of distribution, promotions, reporting, analytics and insights.

As such, the role works to provide all necessary tools and reporting to meet objectives in the Veterinary channel and with select retailers as well as act as liaison between internal stakeholders in marketing, finance, customer development and the senior management teams.

The role serves as a key contact supporting both Customer Development and Marketing teams.


What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Development leaders to develop and track objectives and priorities to achieve the business results. Track and validate monthly consumption updates using Impact Vet
  • Manage monthly accrual process for Gross to Net (GTN) spend (Initial Stocking Orders, Car Stock, Programs)
  • Manages and develops process flows for regional and territory updates, customer master data, Impact Vet consumption data, and the returns, and product/promotional access, functionality, communications and troubleshooting.
  • Actively participate in the monthly CBP (Atlas) Discipline and perform analysis of retail environment versus plans monthly performance review volume, sales, distribution, and adjust strategies based on main findings / opportunities. Takes ownership of the monthly inputs and meeting of the planning freeze timelines for veterinary customers.
  • Reports on product launch metrics, innovation scorecarding, and distribution reporting
  • Hosts the monthly marketing and customer development team calls (Regional Sales Manager Connect, Monthly Alignment Call, National Territory Manager Call)
  • Develop plans and actionable recommendations based on knowledge gained from postevaluations ensuring these are included in the strategies by business types.
  • Analyze Market and Internal Data to correctly assess and gather category shopper insights to identify category growth opportunities and develop action plans based on main findings to support the overall goals of the organization.
  • Support and manage the execution of racks, displays and hotsheet/magic briefcase materials.
  • Support, analyze and track plans by Retail Environment in order to ensure alignment with strategies and priorities to meet estimated sales and objectives.
  • Uses analytics and insights to maximize baseline sales and drive an efficient and effective promotional plan
  • Develops shopper solutions based on Retail/Customer and Shopper knowledge
  • Supports commercial team with ad hoc analysis and administration as required
  • Go to contact for the Field Team and answer questions in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, Customer and Trade Marketing Preferred
  • Upper intermediate to advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Forms) and Power BI and/or Tableau with ability to learn proprietary program
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment with demanding schedules and work flexible hours
  • Ability to travel
  • Hybrid

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of sales/marketing/distribution practices, particularly with respect to the industry
