The Team:
The Capital IQ Solutions team is comprised of world class people with a shared mission of enabling client workflows within the capital markets and corporate segments to support accurate and efficient research, analysis and decision making.
Responsibilities and Impact:
The Strategy & Operations Senior Associate will work within, and alongside the leadership team, of the Capital IQ Solutions organization.
This role will assist in building reports and presentations for the Capital IQ Solutions team, as well as progressing strategic programs, and using data and analytics to support decision-making.
Develop presentations and reporting for internal strategic meetings, industry events attended by members of the Capital IQ Solutions leadership teams, Board of Directors meetings, financial performance reviews and other similar needsSupport strategy formulation and execution, special strategic projects, and business development activities by providing actionable analysis
Aggregate & analyze data from different sources, manage reporting, mine insights for the team, and drive improvements in business initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams including business management, sales, people partners, finance and accounting, among others, to drive progress on strategic programs
Develop product and business line analyses to understand internal and external drivers and to facilitate better business decisions
Understand markets, competitors and emerging companies that impact the Capital IQ Solutions business and product offerings, support M&A target development
Organize training materials and team activities/events to facilitate collaboration and development
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree; business and/or finance preferred
3-5 years of prior experience in a strategic and/or analytical role within a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, and/or financial technology company
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly PowerPoint, Excel; Salesforce experience is a plus
Unmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without sacrificing quality
Curiosity and demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop meaningful commentary explaining trends in our business
Ability to craft compelling story that drives business understanding and outcomes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and influence internal stakeholders
Proven effectiveness and comfort working with stakeholders (both internal and external) at different levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to self-direct and be proactive with a strong business sense, and accountability to meet deadlines
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $120,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
