A challenging and exciting opportunity exists to work in a collaborative inter-professional environment delivering speech language services to rehabilitation patients in a specialized rehabilitation program.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who wants to be on a team of rehabilitation practitioners who are considered leaders in the delivery of rehabilitation care and to actively participate in improving the outcomes of the patients we serve and to the rehabilitation care delivery system as a whole.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Experience with dysphagia, demonstrated knowledge and practice of swallow studies
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with an interdisciplinary team
- Sound understanding of the role of a variety of rehabilitation professionals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, problemsolving and innovation skills
- Working knowledge and experience with theories and principles of guiding adult learning and patient selfmanagement approaches
- Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative
- Familiarity with outcome measurement related to clinical practice, ability to measure and evaluate practice change outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Recent experience working in the area of Acquired Brain Injury
- Experience delivering virtual care and group therapy
- Experience in both hospital and community service delivery

- St Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St Joseph's you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the COVID19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
