The Opportunity
Responsible for subcomponent of a project and/or assists Project Manager. Confirms completion of activities with cross-functional team, coordinates among team members. Follows quality/regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

Expertise and Problem Solving Duties:

  • Coordinate input from multiple areas with assistance from manager.
  • Clarify project objectives and strategies, develop timelines and milestones with assistance from manager.
  • Develop a preliminary implementation plan. Propose contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events.
  • Able to write a design and development plan as required by QA/RA.
  • Translate project goals into project tasks. Define the nature of the stated business or technical problem.
  • Recognize the broader implications of actions and proposals on the final project outcome
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Identify problems and work to resolve them.
  • Analyze data for true causes of problems.

Accountability/Required Supervision:

  • Negotiate schedules, milestones, and resource requirements to meet project outcomes.
  • May function as the project contact with third party vendors.
  • Accountable for the successful completion of project tasks under direct or matrix control.

Leadership Activities:

  • Solicit the cooperation of a diverse group of disciplines and functions in a tactful and persuasive manner.
  • Lead others in the completion of project tasks.
  • Assist in the decisionmaking process.
  • Creates a work environment that supports team effectiveness.
  • Level of interpersonal skills:
  • Interface with other disciplines, customers, internal clients, and project staff
  • Prepare and presents written and oral reports and other presentations. Adjusts presentation style and content to suit the audience.

Required Qualifications
Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience. Basic understanding of systems and procedures. Limited project management experience, with demonstrated leadership skills on portions of a project or other activities.
  • Knowledge of the drug/device development process, regulations and regulatory requirements, and technical counterparts (e.g., Global Strategic Marketing, R&D, RA, QA, Operations) is preferred.
  • Adept at clearly defining objectives and priorities, establishing appropriate milestones, and leading crossfunctional teams to meet and exceed goals, even under adverse circumstances.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives and priorities, establish milestones, anticipate and mitigate risks, lead crossfunctional teams to meet and exceed goals in a dynamic environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail and quick recall.
