CAREER OPPORTUNITY:


Dry Order Picker Shift: 1:30 PM-10 PM Mon to Fri


You will be responsible for the prompt and accurate assembly of customer orders from the warehouse facilities based on a strong knowledge of product and product availability.

You will confirm that all orders are accurate and assembled free from defects in a neat presentation. Other responsibilities will include load/unload shipments of incoming supplies and prepare shipments for delivery.

The Order Picker will be required to follow all safe work policies and procedures and work to maintain a clean warehouse environment.

Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Read work orders, assemble customer orders from stock, and place orders on pallets.
  • Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
  • Prepare orders for shipment and move orders to the staging area for shipment.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Operate a Walkie in a safe manner to move product.
  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
  • Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
  • Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory and verifying stock and identifying losses.
  • Wear proper safety equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Educational /Technical Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Walkie License
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
  • Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:


  • Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.

Job Types:
Permanent, Full-time


Salary:
$18.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
