Why You?
We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our Health & Wellness Team Directly in line with our Town of Innisfil's Strategic Plan 2030, you will take a "Community First" approach to developing and implementing initiatives aimed at engaging youth as part of a project to build and sustain healthy and safe communities.
- Coordinating onsite service availability for youth during programs and conducting outreach in the community to increase youth participation and engagement.
- Enabling youth to gather and connect, have healthy relationships, be resilient, and develop life skills through the Town initiatives you develop and facilitate.
- Monitoring youth and their behaviour in program spaces and during program activities; creating space for positive relationships, predictable structures, and setting clear expectations for youth.
- Collaborating on the coordination of the expansion of current Mobile Youth Centre (MYC) programming and coaching and mentoring MYC staff as needed.
- Recommending strategic goals and objectives for youth services consistent with the strategies of the department and the corporation.
- Supporting the coordination of group initiatives, such as workshops, to support youth skill development; planning and organizing high quality, safe and stimulating programs for all levels of participants.
- Job Requirements

- A minimum of three (3) years' experience developing, implementing, and evaluating community focused interventions. Experience in a communitybased setting is preferred.
- Standard First AID, CPR Level C and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is required.
- Experience working with diverse youth, strong facilitation skills and the ability to make sound decisions and resolve conflicts in a community setting.
- Knowledge of ActiveNet is an asset.
- A valid Class "G" driver's license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks.
- This position will require a flexible schedule requiring regular evening and occasional weekend work.
