Responsibilities:


  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Install, repair, align and take apart industrial machinery and equipment, such as pumps, fans, ovens and conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as chain blocks, jacks and forklifts, to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup and repair of machinery
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

Required Skills:


  • Ability to multitask and manage time appropriately
  • Ability to maintain and update parts inventory as required
  • Replace defective machinery in a timely manner
  • Preform general repairs including welding when required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Follow and adhere to the company safety regulations and guidelines
  • Strong Work Ethic, Self-Starter attitude
  • Ability to work well with others

Qualifications:


  • Certified Red Seal Millwright
  • 15 years' experience in a food manufacturing facility or related experience
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Available to work flexible shifts, holidays, weekends, and be oncall
  • Refrigeration, Electrical and PLC exposure are an asset
