Description:

We are currently looking for a working

lead hand to join our installation team. In this role you will perform residential sewer lateral excavations, installations, and waterproofing.

Job Type:
Full Time

Salary:
$32-38 per hour

Key Job Responsibilities:

Perform sewer repairs, pipe bursting, pipe lining, and install weeping tiles and waterlines.
Use various excavation methods (Backhoe, bobcat, hand dig) to access repairs and installations.
Work with management in the organization and preparation of jobs. This includes reviewing upcoming job sites with management in order to plan ahead for the job.
Assign tasks to crew members and ensure the job stays on schedule.
Maintain communication with management and dispatch, reporting on job progress, daily activities, and any equipment or material needs.
Operate equipment and vehicles including trailers.
Assist in the development of department processes.
Practice safe working habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment; shoring of holes; and vehicle and machine safety.
Clean up work sites including, but not limited to cementing, removal of garbage and/or materials.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service, support, and care for the customer's property.

Skills & Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract required.
Prior experience with excavations and digging equipment required.
Prior knowledge of sewer, waterlines, and weeping tile systems considered an asset.
Ability to lead a team.
Hard worker who is determined to find solutions.
Positive attitude.
Reliable team player.
