- Conduct comprehensive wildlife field surveys to assess biodiversity, species population, and habitat suitability, employing effective methods and techniques.
- Coordinate projects related to species management, ensure timely completion of tasks, adherence to project objectives, and efficient resource utilization.
- Collect, manage, and analyze field data according to Provincial standards and protocols, as well as statistical techniques to derive meaningful insights that support decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality reports, environmental impact assessments, and mitigation plans, communicating results in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop proposals, cost estimates, and project plans, integrating wildlife management considerations aligning with client needs.
- Engage in business development initiatives relevant to the role including client and stakeholder communications, presentations, and networking to foster relationships and identify opportunities for wildlife-focused projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulations and best practices associated with wildlife biology, species conservation, and environmental management.
- Provide expert advice on biodiversity conservation, habitat restoration, and species management within regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting wildlife field surveys, coordinating projects, and collecting field data.
- Strong knowledge of environmental assessment, impact analysis, and mitigation planning.
- Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- Broad knowledge of terrestrial wildlife, including at-risk species, their ecology, and habitat requirements.
- Demonstrated interest in applying scientific knowledge to address real-world challenges and contribute to client objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, stakeholders ,and regulatory agencies.
