In the role you will be responsible to provide media strategy insight and build dynamic media plans, to support the exciting programs and priorities for all lines of our business.

You will also support work being executed in all geographies where Irving Oil operates; included Canada, United States and Ireland.

This is a temporary position for 12-14 months.

Your roles and responsibilities:


  • Liaise with media agencies and direct vendors to develop mixed media campaigns and pitch concepts to internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with creative services team to understand deliverables and produce media assets
  • Monitor buys inmarket throughout campaign, identifying opportunities for optimizations. Develop reports mid and postcampaign
  • Activate media campaigns by trafficking assets to media partner and/or outlets
  • Maintain accurate budget control of media plans
  • Negotiate and book of all paid media space.
  • Maintain knowledge of the media buying/planning landscape and offerings available in the marketplace, identifying trends and research

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including senior leaders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good presentation skills.

Travel:

Travel is not a requirement for this position.


Education and experience:


  • Undergraduate Degree with an emphasis on marketing or communications preferred
  • 35 years experience over
- managing projects, deadlines, multiple deliverables and stakeholders, in a digital advertising capacity.

  • A fundamental understanding of the digital ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Facebook and LinkedIn Ads manager preferred
  • Knowledge of Google Ads preferred
