The Operations Integration Advisor is role in the Growth team supporting investigation of strategies to expand pipeline assets in a safe, compliant, and reliable manner.

The Operations Advisor will provide field verification of existing assets, identify growth opportunities, and is able to provide expertise on operational requirements in order to support growth and expansion of Inter Pipeline's Pipeline assets.

This position may be located out of our Calgary, Sherwood Park, Brooks, Taber, Stettler, Coronation or Kindersley Offices.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

Provide operational expertise on issues pertaining to pipeline infrastructure, operations and maintenance.
Works closely with Field Operations, Control Centre, Operations Management, Business Development, Oil Movements, and external stakeholders (industry committees, regulators, etc.).
Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the company to identify and champion solutions.
Prepare questionnaires, quotes from vendors and contracting companies
Prepare and support the development of short

- and long-term system expansion plans and feasibility studies

Assist in capital growth projects
Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the company to identify and champion solutions.

Education, Skills and Experience

10+ years of experience in a combination of Field operations or Project Engineering roles in operating facilities in the energy or chemicals sectors
If the Operations Integration Advisor has an engineering degree, registration with APEGA and APEGS as a Professional Engineer are essential for this position
Experience in the pipeline industry is a strong asset
Knowledgeable in current operating standards, codes, rules, and regulations that relate to pipelines and pipeline facility design
Ability to perform feasibility studies, coordinate the input of others, analyze information and meet deadlines
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Hours:

Work hours will be structured to align with the office that the successful applicant is based. Frequent travel to site locations is required.
