    Description

    We are currently looking for an IT Security Consultant to join our Technology Team, managing large security projects in the region.

    Technical security systems design (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, duress, real-time locating and the integration and networking of these systems)

    Seeing projects through from beginning to end including: Security Systems Studies, Concept Design Narratives, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, Construction Documents, Tender Review, Project Management, Construction Administration and Project Closeout.

    Participate in workshops to elicit technical and functional requirements from a broad range of stakeholders, and developing client-focused solutions across a varied mix of technologies.

    Advising clients as a subject matter expert and representing WSP as leaders in the Security and Technology field.
    Developing professional, client-facing documents, including technical specifications and reports, using standard software tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, Bluebeam Studio and Adobe Acrobat, among others;
    Interpreting and reviewing typical design and construction issue technical drawings developed using REVIT, AutoCAD and similar tools;
    Participating in technical and project meetings with a varied audience and participant mix, including management/executive, end-user, and technical personnel;
    Instructing and guiding other, less experienced team members, in the development/production of CAD/Revit project deliverables;
    Working individually or collaboratively with the local and wider security team and other disciplines within the business.

    Experience with Threat Risk Assessments and Physical Security is an asset
    Experience in networking preferred
    Demonstrable experience managing large security projects
    A flexible approach to the working environment

    Ability to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 security clearance and work in a secure environment.

    Must be able to work normal hours of Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but also be willing to work overtime including evening and weekends when necessary.

    Must be willing to travel periodically and as required for project assignments.
    Must hold valid driver's licence and vehicle for travel to client sites.
