Major Job Functions:

- Understands the overall objectives of the department and takes initiative
- Effectively reports current business results (weekly/monthly) and learns to connect current results with future plans
- Learns and executes product costing, basic retail math, and financial reports

- Understands and completes the deliverables in the product development process
- Demonstrates initiative, agility, and willingness to do what is right/best
- Ensures orders are processed correctly, guaranteeing scheduled delivery dates and appropriate quantity/quality assortments.

- Handles daytoday work challenges confidently; adapts to change well by reorganizing their daily schedule according to priority.

- Developing a proficiency of the product development process know the steps and time lines in building an assortment.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years retail experience, preferably in a Buying department or similar position; knowledge and experience in Product Development required.
- Knowledge of APTOS Merchandising system
- Postsecondary degree in Retail Management or Fashion; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be a team player with good analytical, mathematical, communication, time management and organizational skills.
- The individual must be flexible, have a good sense of urgency and have good problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to interact with individuals from all levels within the organization
