Primary Responsibilities


Reporting to the VP, People &Culture, the Health and Safety Advisor leads the development, the execution and the monitoring of the of EHS programs and initiatives in compliance with Federal and State regulations and standards.

The Health and Safety Advisor works closely with operations management and employees to develop an EHS culture and improve the overall EHS performance.

This is a hands-on role with significant time spent in all parts of the operation, observing, monitoring, training and coaching employees towards EHS goals and initiatives.


  • Drive the implementation of EHS Programs to achieve EHS excellence. This will include but not limited to all environmental expectations, emergency preparedness, safety risk assessments (SRA's) and EHS procedures, hazardous materials, ergonomics, contractor safety, EHS culture, security, etc.
  • Drive improvement and track goal(s) achievement through collection, analysis and communication of EHS and KPI data (including but not limited to programs evaluation, workplace audits, training completion, injuries and illnesses and other significant events in an EHS management system.
  • Develop and implement appropriate corrective preventive actions / continuous improvement plans.
  • Drive EHS compliance to ensure completion and accurate recording of EHS metrics, including training, audit findings, inspections, etc.
  • Monitor and recommend best practices, and develop policies, procedures related to Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Participate in the design phase of continuous improvement, operation, and CAPEX projects.
