We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee industrial construction projects for our client located in Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of project milestones.
Supervise and mentor on-site personnel, including subcontractors, foremen, and laborers, to ensure compliance with safety protocols and construction best practices.
Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any issues or deficiencies in workmanship or materials.Oversee procurement and delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring availability as per project requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, including daily logs, site reports, and safety documentation.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client representatives, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to the project.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with a focus on industrial projects.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality assurance.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within the region as needed.Certification in construction management or related educational experience is required.
