- Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, and that related documents are maintained.
- Maintain and operate physical plant equipment used in lighting, heating, ventilating and air conditioning of buildings.
- Undertake unsupervised routine maintenance and minor work on a wide range of building fabric and mechanical electrical works.
- Monitors facility by conducting facility walkthroughs for mechanical, electrical, and other equipment system monitoring and inspection.
- Start up and shut down power plant equipment
- Responds to emergency, routine, and on-demand service requests.
- Maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, and draft reports on plant operation.
- To work overtime when required either as extended day, weekend, or statutory holiday.
- Participation in the emergency on call when suitably trained and experienced.
- To carry any other duties that are requested by your manager.

- Ensure the satisfactory, prompt, and accurate completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company.

- Power Engineer Class 5
- Knowledge of Building Maintenance Systems (BMS) and HVAC systems.
- Minimum 2 years experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance building systems
- Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency
- Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise
- The ability to work as part of a team

Reporting To - Maintenance Superintendent
Core Purpose of the Job - Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC and other specified mechanical and electrical equipment. The task will include but not limited to start-up/shut down of major building equipment. You will perform regular maintenance activities and perform minor repairs including replace washers/faucets/sinks; clear toilets and drains; replace lamps; reset breakers; and perform shift tours and log readings. In this role, you will install, maintain and repair existing fixtures and components and provide advice on installations and fixture upgrades.
