Reporting to the Manager, Quality & Risk Management, the Risk Management Specialist is responsible for

developing, maintaining and communicating processes related to risk management at TBRHSC. The Specialist

oversees the development and maintenance of an Integrated Risk Management Program. This includes an

organization‐wide database and implementation of continuous improvement and risk mitigation strategies.


Employment Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • Post Secondary education in Business, Health or related discipline
  • Masters degree an asset

Skills/Abilities:

  • Certification in Health Care Risk Management and/or Risk Management Certification required, or ability to attain
  • Minimum 3‐5 years experience in Healthcare, Quality Improvement and/or Risk Management
  • Previous experience and knowledge of risk rating, Enterprise Risk Management and business continuity
  • Knowledge and experience with contract development and interpretation
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, GroupWise)
  • Interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, conflict management, and project management skills required

Salary Range:
$40.803 to 48.003
