DescriptionNorthern Lights College is seeking to hire an Instructor for the Field Operations Specialist - Hydrocarbon Resources (FOSHR) program. The FOSHR provides new and potential students training in hydrocarbon resource field operations through twelve training modules.
The focus of the program is to provide students with the theoretical and practical skills needed to function effectively as Field Operators in the industry.
Field operators generally start up and stop equipment, take pressure and flow readings, compute and record data, adjust valves/pressures, and examine and repair equipment.
Like a plant operator, they may also deal with compressors or dehydrators and manage oil batteries within their field.Field Operators are considered essential personnel to keep the industry running, and graduates who enter the industry will have recognized skills beneficial for employment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have extensive practical knowledge and experience in all aspects of both oil and natural gas processing, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In The Following
Exploration,
Drilling and Completions,
Pipelines,
Land Survey Systems,
Oilfield and Gas Plant Operations,
Oil and Gas Field Production Equipment,
Pumps, compressors, generators and driver components,
Facility Piping Control and valves,
Basic Instrumentation and P & ID's,
Production Accounting, and
Able to lead work in an Oil and Gas Lab.
Applicants must have a Class 5 driver's license in order to be considered and be proficient in MS Office Suite products (word, excel, outlook).
