Position title:
Systems Administrator


Reporting to:
Director, Information Technology


Type of position:
Full-time, permanent


Summary of Business:

The System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the organization's computer systems and servers.

You will install hardware and software and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of the organization.

You will actively resolve problems and issues with a computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly administration tasks
  • Active directory management & optimization
  • Group policy configuration & deployment
  • Server builds & configuration; Advanced server admin knowledge
  • Patch management endpoint patching/critical updates
  • Office 36 advanced knowledge of O365 Administration
  • Formulate policy & process re technical administration
  • Application support
  • Project execution
  • Implementation upgrades, migrations etc.
  • Manage backups daily backup logging, monthly data restore testing
  • Documentation build & maintain internal technical documentation, manuals, IT policies/procedures
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Inventory maintain hardware & software inventory

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field
  • 8 + years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
  • 1 + years of
    AZURE experience
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMware, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols

Desired to Have:


  • Certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
