- Experience working in a healthcare setting with adult and pediatric orthopedic conditions is preferred.
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Post-secondary education preferred.
- Must be a registered Orthopedic Technologist.
- Family and Friends CPR training is recommended.
- Registration with the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists or the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals required and maintains registration on an annual basis.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with WRHA policy.

Position Overview
Working under the direction of the Manager/Clinical Service Leader/Physiotherapist, the incumbent is expected to function effectively as a member of a team that may include other healthcare providers, family members, caregivers and mentally and/or physically challenged clients. The incumbent must consistently demonstrate courtesy, compassion and respect for the client's personal dignity and privacy.
The incumbent primarily performs routine job functions and may be assigned more complex duties depending on the incumbent's demonstrated proficiency.
All job functions involving direct patient care are performed in accordance with the Physician's written or verbal orders.
