    Hybrid Work Model

    Job Description

    The Cloud Operations Specialist will work closely with Assent's Engineering and Product teams, IT, and Corporate Security teams under the direction of the SaaS Product Infrastructure leadership team. This role ensures that production systems and services are running, and that uptime is maintained as close to 100 percent as possible. This role will also work with the Corporate Security Team to ensure the network and systems are secure while maintaining usability.

    Key Requirements & Responsibilities

    • Monitoring and management of SaaS Product Infrastructure;
    • AWS systems management and configuration;
    • Review and Recommend AWS services and offerings in order to replace existing Infrastructure;
    • Installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server instances;
    • Design, build and maintain highly available systems for the Assent SaaS product;
    • Participate in the management and monitoring of all cloud infrastructure, including weekend deployments of production, OS updates as needed and backup routines;
    • Document systems infrastructure and follow processes and procedures;
    • Implementing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans;
    • Act as liaison with various departments and teams;
    • Help lead projects and act as a contributor to Infrastructure and joint Infrastructure projects
    • Supporting security audits of Assent Platforms;
    • Familiar with corporate security policies and follow the guidance set out by processes and procedures of Assent.

    Qualifications

    We strongly value your talent, energy and passion. It will also be valuable to Assent if you have the following qualifications:

    • 3+ years of relevant experience in a Product Systems Administration or Cloud Operations role;
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a working knowledge of AWS services such as Control Towers, Configuration Management, Lamda Scripting, CloudTrail;
    • Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) such as Terraform;
    • Experienced in Ansible, Windows Server and Linux administration ;
    • AWS Certification above Cloud Practitioner is preferred;

    Please note that this role requires the ability and willingness to work off-hour shifts with a flexible schedule. This may include shift work and an on call rotation.
