Scope
Recreation Surrey has been offering residents diverse recreational spaces and programs to meet the needs of our communities.
From gyms, pools and multi-purpose rooms to drop-in and registered recreation programs to special events, our recreation facilities aim to keep our residents healthy, active and engaged.
To help ensure equitable use of Arenas for user groups and programs we're looking for a Community Services Coordinator 1 to manage allocation and booking for all 5 Arenas in the City of Surrey.
Responsibilities:
As a Community Service Coordinator 1, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our recreation facility and the delivery of programs throughout the town centre to meet the community's needs.
You will be responsible for:
Completing ice, dry floor, and special event bookings at 5 arenas Working with the ice and dry floor allocation committees and Arena staff to ensure equitable use of facilities and community needs.
Build and maintain relationships with community members and facility user groups.Qualifications:
Our successful applicant will have a strong foundation and experience in administration, recreation delivery, facility operation, and community engagement initiatives.
They must also have:
Graduated from a recognized university or college level program in a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience including supervision. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Conditions of Employment
This position requires completion of a Police Information Check.
