Musashi Auto Parts Canada Inc. is hiring for a
Production Sub-Leader.

The P
roduction Sub-Leader assists the Team Leader in performing daily duties on their assigned shift ensuring that Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets are met by the production associates in the designated department.

Enforce policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.


Qualifications:


  • Good attendance and quality record.
  • 2+ year manufacturing experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Capable of being signed off on production lines in the department.
  • Ability to perform data input within SAP, Pro-Link Systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Technical ability and knowledge. Ability to perform required machine repairs and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities, associates and assignments.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise associates of its assigned department and shift and is responsible for performance management.
  • Assist the Team leader and associates to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed to ensure that Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets are being met.
  • Machine set up, trouble shooting, tool changes, and changeovers. Performs minor machine repair; enter work order for items requirements by maintenance and preventative maintenance technicians
  • Covers and fills in for Team leader and Production Associates in the event of absence.
  • Follows and enforces company policies in the associate handbook.
  • Communicates accidents, nonconforming parts, machine problems, quality concerns and associate needs to leadership.
  • Complete and submit end of shift reports in the absence of Team Leader.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
