Job Description:

AECOM Buildings + Places Architectural team are seeking an Architectural Drafter. This position is based out of our Whitby office.

AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building's engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects.

Project assignments may include, although not limited to:
Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.

Job Summary:

The job incumbent will be responsible for:

Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
Under direct supervision, may complete design assignments of limited complexity.
Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and disciplineassociated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.
Basic understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents.
Introduced to the process of performing material takeoffs for the discipline.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma is required.

Knowledge of MicroStation is a must.

Knowledge of Revit, AutoCad and Microsoft Office is required.

Preferred Requirements:

Prefer graduate of Architectural Technology College program.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

At a minimum, Diploma/Certificate + two (2) + years of relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Prefer graduate of Architectural Technology College program.

Knowledge of MicroStation.

Knowledge of Revit, AutoCad and Microsoft Office.
