The Need


After almost 25 years of continued growth and operational success in pioneering the work of protecting those who are experiencing poverty from violence, IJM globally has become a $100+ million organization.

IJM wants to continue this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, with the Vision to protect 500 million people by the year 2030.


To contribute to this growth, IJM Canada is seeking a Mass Fundraising Lead to support the creation and implementation mass donor fundraising activities for IJM Canada in alignment with the North American regional and Canadian national integrated marketing and fundraising strategies.

This position will support maintenance and growth of revenue from mass level donors.

The main responsibilities will be to collaborate with others to plan and implement fundraising campaigns and maintain strong relationships with mass donors.

It will also will contribute to efforts to elevate IJM's brand in the charitable landscape in Canada, with the goal of attracting new committed donors who are passionate about ending slavery in our lifetime.


Compensation range:
$70,000-$85,000/year

Responsibilities:


  • Fundraising Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the IJM Canada team, agency partners and North America teams to formulate objectives, priorities, and the implement of plans consistent with the longterm interest of the organization in a global environment;
  • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Partner with the IJMC team and vendors to increase donors retention and lifetime value;
  • New Donor Acquisition: Cooperate with external and internal partners to support the growth and good health of the mass donor file;
  • Fundraising Campaign Implementation: Support the implementation of fundraising campaigns as developed by the direct response partner agency; and

Data Management:

Work together with fundraising operations and constitutent relations colleagues, ensure data gathering, data analysis, data entry, and campaign reporting.


Requirements:


  • A minimum 5 years of experience in marketing and fundraising program implementation;
  • Proven experience in successful fundraising efforts in Canada;
  • Experience managing multichannel fundraising or marketing projects; 2+ years of experience in digital marketing;
  • Professional direct fundraising and marketing knowledge;
  • Professional stakeholder engagement;
  • Professional written and verbal communication; and
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data/results into strategy.
