Fort Edmonton Management Company (FEMCo), the organization that operates Fort Edmonton Park, is looking for a creative Digital Marketing Coordinator - Contract.

It's an exciting time at Fort Edmonton Park as work on the strategy to become the premier cultural tourism attraction in Western Canada is well underway.


Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Coordinator - Contract will be responsible for assisting with the research, collection, drafting and distribution of various forms of external and internal digital marketing content.

In this position, you will offer marketing and communications support to the Marketing and Communications Team and actively participate in day-to-day marketing activities.

The position works collaboratively with and supports all areas of the business including admissions, retail, hospitality, private events and more.

As the Digital Marketing Coordinator - Contract, you will gain experience in the creation and execution of dynamic digital marketing strategies across a variety of mediums.


  • Responsibilities:
  • Establish and configure Google Extranet sites for internal communications;-
  • Coordinate and create monthly content for external & internal newsletters;-
  • Research, compile data and write award submissions for organization achievements;-
  • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success support;-
  • Assist with the administration of the digital asset management system;Track, create, and organize on-site signage;-
  • Support weekend, event, and media content creation;-
  • Respond to Social Media inquiries and engagement

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, brand management or public relations;
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with brands to build and grow online communities through multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn;
  • Customer service experience is an asset;
  • Proficiency with a variety of digital marketing tools, including but not limited to monitoring and scheduling tools;
  • A knack for writing and curating content for social media;
  • Welldeveloped organization and problemsolving skills with a strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Professional presentation and communication skills;
  • Team player with a great attitude

Other Details:

  • The contracted regular hours of work for this position are 40 per week working primarily between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday_.; may require occasional weekend, stat holidays and/or evening work to support business needs.
  • Some weekend work may be required.
  • The position is expected to start approximately July 17, 202
  • Applicants will be required to arrange their own transportation as the site often operates outside of standard public transportation hours.
  • Applicants must be willing to sign a media consent form.
  • May be exposed to chemicals, smells, elements, noise, temperature etc;
  • Exposure to or in contact with common allergens such as but not limited to hay, straw, fur, pollen, dust, peanuts/nuts, bee/wasp stings while on site;
  • Working in a busy site environment with frequent interruptions;
  • Completion of a Police Information Check satisfactory to Fort Edmonton Management Company may be required.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license or provincial equivalent and 5year drivers' abstract may be required at the time of offer.
  • All newly hired employees must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer.
