We have a full-time, temporary opportunity for an experienced Recruiter to join our Burnaby team on a 12-month contract term.


Position Summary:


Responsibilities:

The Recruiter is expected to deliver to all projects within the industry a high level of qualified individuals for their manpower requirements


Specific objectives are:

  • 360 recruitment from sourcing, hiring, reference checking, and requesting travel if needed
  • Guide new employees through the hiring process.
  • Develop and grow industry network.
  • Represent organization at virtual career fairs and other recruiting events.
  • Assisting in the administration of employee benefits including active communication with our benefits providers.
  • Perform other HR duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Previous experience with high volume recruiter and a strong sense of urgency
  • General knowledge of applicable employment laws and practices.
  • Strong communicator
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn a broad spectrum of tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • A selfstarter.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines in an organized fashion.
  • Minimum three years of Staffing/Recruitment experience, mining industry preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Experience performing general HR duties is an asset.
  • Postsecondary education preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in both an office environment and a work from home environment
  • For this position, you will be required to undergo a background check.
