We have a full-time, temporary opportunity for an experienced Recruiter to join our Burnaby team on a 12-month contract term.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

The Recruiter is expected to deliver to all projects within the industry a high level of qualified individuals for their manpower requirements

Specific objectives are:

360 recruitment from sourcing, hiring, reference checking, and requesting travel if needed
Guide new employees through the hiring process.
Develop and grow industry network.
Represent organization at virtual career fairs and other recruiting events.
Assisting in the administration of employee benefits including active communication with our benefits providers.
Perform other HR duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Previous experience with high volume recruiter and a strong sense of urgency
General knowledge of applicable employment laws and practices.
Strong communicator
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn a broad spectrum of tasks.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
A selfstarter.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines in an organized fashion.
Minimum three years of Staffing/Recruitment experience, mining industry preferred.
Previous experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
Experience performing general HR duties is an asset.
Postsecondary education preferred.
Ability to work effectively in both an office environment and a work from home environment
For this position, you will be required to undergo a background check.
