We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Kenora office.

Your Contribution:
As a Field and Laboratory Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Materials team.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Sampling and field testing of concrete.
- Sampling and field testing of soils and asphalt using specialized equipment (training will be provided).
- Lab testing of soils, and concrete.
- Assist in inspecting the quality of construction and construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt).
- Assist in monitoring placement of various construction materials and workmanship.
- Report any nonconformance concerns to the project management.
- Assist in the execution of tests in the field or laboratory on construction materials to assess their quality.
- Prepare and collect samples for laboratory testing.
- Test plastic concrete on site and cast samples for lab testing.
- Assist in conducting asphalt & concrete coring for thickness and material composition investigations.
- Ensure accuracy of test data.
- Write quality control inspection and test reports.
- Maintain testing equipment in good condition.
- Maintain calibration of equipment.
Your Profile:
- Ability to handle samples up to 25kg of materials regularly.
- Must have a valid Ontario G Driver's License.
- Access to a personal vehicle for work purposes (mileage will be compensated).
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health safety.
