Role Summary:
This person will report directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for supporting the electrical engineering team to complete tasks associated with the product pipeline, including repair and re-work of PCBs and associated company products, PCB inspection, testing, calibrating, and other tasks associated with the hardware.
In the role of Electrical Technician, you will be joining a world-class electrical engineering team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring outstanding work assessments, repairs/reworks, and recalibrations are moving in a timely fashion
- Organizing and executing on work orders and performing the associated duties
- Performing and executing system and board level tests and communicating issues and proceeding steps to internal and external clients
- Writing reports, manuals, documents, and procedures to assist internal and external clients
- Handling customer support tickets and issues and working with the clients to resolve system issues
- Testing of finished goods using established testing procedures
- Troubleshooting and repairing UHPCs and other associated hardware
- Installing PCBs into products according to established SOPs
- Performing safety checks of assembled products
- Loading firmware onto PCBs
- Completing initial functional testing of PCBs according to established procedures
- Setting up and running burnins according to established procedures
- Monitoring the burnin and calibration processes to ensure the board behavior remains normal
- Sorting boards according to burnin and calibration results as instructed by the Electrical Engineer
- Assisting in calibrations according to established procedures
- Building various pieces of equipment for the production line including cables and cell holders
- Completing basic board repair/modification through soldering
- Assisting the EE-Manager with tasks to be accomplished by the department as seen appropriate.
You are:
- A graduate with an electrical/electronic engineering technology diploma (C.E.T)
- Experienced with electronic circuits and soldering fundamentals
- Someone with advanced capability for troubleshooting
- Able to read and understand Schematics/PCBs
- Able to use Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Function generators
- Wellversed in Mathematics and Statistics
- A highly motivated selfstarter who takes initiative
- Well organized and invested in the details
- Able to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
- Comfortable working and thinking independently while successfully working with teams
- A continuous learner
- Proficient in Microsoft 36
- Motivated in a fastpaced environment
- Confident and able to exercise sound judgment
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing environments
- Resourceful when it comes to solving problems
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- An effective communicator
