What you will do:


  • Own endtoend processes for Blackstone's Utility Bill Pay operations and manage the daytoday payment and reporting deliverables for the assigned portfolio of clients
  • Ensure that all financial reporting requirements are prepared in a timely manner to meet internal and external client

  • Prepare and/or review bank reconciliations
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of payable summaries and other financial reports
  • Verify, authorize, pay and reconcile on payable requirements where applicable
  • Develop and implement support flows, processes, and procedures to address and resolve client issues/inquiries
  • Support client financial reporting process
  • Assist in client onboarding activities including set up, day one readiness, and onboarding interactions
  • Investigate client issues and inquiries relating to Bill Pay operations and reporting
  • Build an efficient and scalable team structure that leverages technology
  • Maintain strong control environment and be open to process change; document and review internal control policies and procedures, and recommend process improvements where necessary
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Technology/Data, Client Success and Finance teams to help deliver and support operational processes
  • Ensure external and internal partners successfully deliver on their service level agreements
  • Assist with external auditors on audits
  • Serve as a neutral escalation point for clients and internal partners to mediate as needed
  • Attend internal and client meetings as required
  • Assist with coordinating training for the Utility Bill Management team
  • Escalate issues to VP Finance when required

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor's degree in an applicable field or other combination of relevant education and experience;
  • More than three (3) years of experience in in accounting and financial reporting;
  • 2+ years of experience in operations function; experience in payment operations and/or payments processing platform is a plus
  • Experience managing/preparing financial reporting for multiple entities/clients
  • Realestate and/or property management related experience would be an asset
  • Excellent datadriven analytical thinking skills
  • Familiarity working with a high level of independence and in a fastpaced working environment where you can act on and share ideas
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including with crossfunctional teams
  • Ability to analyze and problemsolve; "roll up your sleeves" attitude and entrepreneurial
  • Effective and efficient time management and organization skills
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to train, mentor, and coach others
  • Results oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
