Structured Cabling with IT Av Knowledge Technician - Greater Toronto Area, Canada - Hem Innovative Solutions Inc
Description
We are seeking an individual who can help us with physical onsite cabling implementations, media mount installations, and basic technical services in the GTA.
The following are some "must-have" requirements as well as additional "bonus" skills. Starting pay is based on your experience and skill set.MUST HAVES:
- Must be personable, professional and a team player.
- Must have experience working with Crestron
- Experience in structured cabling with various media types (Data Cat5e,Cat6, HDMI etc) Patch Panels
- Label cables according to defined standards.
- Perform the necessary tests after installation and make the necessary corrections
- Install new services, extra outlets, and equipment in commercial buildings
- Assist senior and lead technicians in daily service calls
- All other duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives (installation and mounting of IT hardware (ie Tvs/VideoWall, etc).
- Good with hands and use of tools (drills, etc)
- Vehicle for initial probation period. (Van will be supplied for permanent hires)
- Use of personal cell phone and vehicle during probationary period
- Audio Visual knowledge will be an asset.
The chosen applicant will be provided a company service vehicle once suitability has been established
BONUS SKILLS:
- Phone system installation and programming (digital or Voip etc)
- Any computer or network experience (for crossover technical support)
- Minimum 3year of cabling and installation experience is an asset
- Valid Ontario G driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and to handle calmly and efficiently situations ranging from routine to emergency
- Ability to organize work and consistently meet the deadline
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Working at Height and Fall Arrest Certification is an asset
OVERVIEW:
This is a unique position where the individual will work adjacent to our network technicians with some cross-over to technical, depending on abilities.

$25.00-$27.00 per hour
