Job summary
We are looking for a reliable people-focused Assistant Manager to help lead day-to-day retail operations in our local community-focused hardware store.
Responsibilities include assisting with staff scheduling shift coverage and daily workflow coordination working closely with the Store General Manager to maintain product availability special orders merchandising standards and in-store displays acting as a lead go-to person for staff questions and customer issues with support from other managers stock shelves replenish inventory and ensure product displays are clean organized and well-maintained assist customers with product selection and provide friendly knowledgeable service operate the point-of-sale system handle cash returns and exchanges accurately support mentor team members during daily store operations help onboard train new staff on store procedures customer service standards maintain a clean safe organized store environment escalate issues appropriately help resolve customer concerns professionally.
