- Familiarity with production planning, material purchasing and inventory control tools and systems (SAP, MRP, demand ordering systems, warehouse management and inventory analysis).
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with engineering drawings.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Communicate with all departments to ensure project information is shared as required.
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and Production Orders in SAP.
- Capital Equipment work order information flow.
- Create information packages for Production and venders.
- Document progress of different projects for internal customers.
- Provide progress reports and Project cost analysis.
- Materials planning, strategic purchasing.
- Manage special projects as required.
- Work closely with Engineering for information and process improvement.
- Provide critical feedback for various vender, foster mutually beneficial relationships.
- Contribute where your skills and experience are beneficial to the company.
- High school diploma or GED.
- A post‑secondary diploma in manufacturing processes purchasing or supply chain management is an asset.
- Minimum of one year experience in production planning or materials purchasing/buying.
- Manufacturing or forestry industry‑related experience is an asset.
