Who are we?


Ballad's Workforce Development Division is hiring a Program Administrator; a key role for our Red Deer Work Employment Readiness and Connections Program.

We know that's a mouth full, so you can call it the WERC program (pronounced "work"). We invite those who love working as a program administrator with strong organizational skills to join our team.


But who is Ballad Group? Well, our workforce development programs have built capacity in diverse areas including entrepreneurship, insurance, information and computer technology, construction, French language acquisition, hospitality, supply chain management, and more.

We have delivered unique training programs for a variety of organizations, Indigenous Communities and on behalf of the Ministry of Jobs, Economy and Northern Development and Ministry of Seniors, Community & Social Services, Social Development Canada and the Ministry of Children's Services.


But what about the WERC program? Well, the goal of the WERC program is to develop and administer individually focused direct skill enhancement training and job placement to enable multi-barriered Albertans find and maintain employment.


The Opportunity
This position is in Red Deer and will work out of Ballad's Red Deer Training Centre.

This position works closely with and reports to the Red Deer WERC Program Coordinator.


Program Administration

  • Coordinate and schedule intake appointments with external clients.
  • Conduct intake process such as prescreen phone interviews, inperson intakes, and followup phone calls with graduates.
  • Support graduations & student celebrations

Reporting and Analytics

  • Lead all MOBIUS data entries accurately and in a timely manner
  • Develop and manage reporting dashboards in collaboration with the Program Coordinator
  • Assist with biweekly, monthly and project reporting.
  • Provide details for the purpose of month end reporting to Program Coordinator

Marketing and Communications

  • Collaborate with the team leads to ensure consistency
  • Promote program activities internally and externally
  • Provide positive solutions to challenges amongst staff, participants and partners

Program Assessments, Intakes and Registration

  • Screening participants to determine if they are eligible for the program
  • Active service management of participants to ensure success in the program, such as monthly progress reviews with participants, ensuring each client receives necessary exposure courses to find employment
  • Complete program Followups with participants (90 Day and 180 Day follow ups) and associated reporting
  • General administration including: maintenance of participant files, data entry (mobius andcom)
  • Responding to incoming program inquiries
Other duties that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned.
