Description
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing AP/AR and disbursing payments to vendors while improving overall accounting efficiencies
  • Process approved invoices from internal and external vendors promptly and effectively and provide followup accordingly. This includes verification for reasonableness of monthly expenses, whether recurring or nonrecurring ones
  • Prepare journal entries and post entries in QuickBooks & LoneWolf
  • Determine proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
  • Assist with account reconciliation and monthend closing
  • Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions
  • Preparing HST returns
  • Post accruals, cash receipts, quarter and monthend adjusting entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable adjustments
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • May be required to work extended hours at monthend
Skills and Knowledge

  • Must be willing to undergo a security background check at the expense of the company
  • Possess at least 3+ years of relevant Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable
  • Real Estate or Property Management bookkeeping experience is considered an asset but not a requirement
