Are you an engineering student and have an interest in the renewable energy industry?


Our Project Management team is looking for a passionate and motivated person for a four-month internship (possibility to extend to 8 months).

The incumbent will be involved in project management and construction processes in the wind power industry, a growing and blooming market.

This person will be placed on site during a construction project, likely in Eastern Canada. He/She will perform reporting, administrative tasks and inspections during site works.

Duties can also include local procurement, collecting material from local suppliers, and picking up certain small material from local service stations.

The Intern can report to the site Construction Manager, and is very directly working with the Project Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Adhering to the site Health and Safety Plan and regulations.
  • Support in collecting Health and Safety statistics.
  • Complete the required on site project reports.
  • Monitoring and controlling on site schedules, cost, and quality documentation, along with updating project Non Conformity logs.
  • Analyze the data collected on site to advise the Project team on corrective measures and paths forward.
  • Perform document management to support onsite document quality.
  • Complete project reports requested by Project Manager.
  • Support in finding new suppliers and obtaining various quotes based on the project needs
  • Support overseeing and monitoring the delivery to site of the wind turbine components.
  • Support in all project transport and logistics returns.
  • Perform other related duties

REQUIREMENT:


  • Engineering student with a minimum of 1 year completed in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Civil
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Ability to work remotely and available to travel (Provinces: Canada wide)
  • Meticulous, organized and with a technical oriented mindset
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Work experience in customer service (asset)
  • Have an interest in energy industry and knowledge about renewable energy
  • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Reliable, punctual and able to meet deadlines
  • Class 5 Driving License
  • ASP Construction Card
