Position Summary:
This part time position is to conduct powder XRD (X-ray diffraction) measurements on composite carbonaceous powders and to assist in the development of an optimal carbonization process for the graphitization of said powders using a conventional tube furnace.

Specific tasks include:

- Preparation of powder samples for XRD analysis (XRD).
- Analysis of produced XRD data.
- Receive training on the operation of NANOQAM Thermo Scientific Lindberg/Blue Mini-Mite horizontal furnace system.
- Operation of NANOQAM Thermo Scientific Lindberg/Blue Mini-Mite horizontal furnace system.
- Preparation of final report to summarize results and methods.
