We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time Greenhouse Supervisor position for our Farms operations in our Leamington, ON location.

Job Details:

The Night Shift Supervisor for the Greenhouse plays a vital role in our team.

They will be responsible for supervising a team of 2 UVC light operators and supervising employees spraying crops on the night shift.

This role emphasizes the importance of Health and Safety, as strict adherence to PPE procedures is required at all times.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

While this is a supervisory role, with respect to the UVC Light Team; the Nights Greenhouse Supervisor will be required to be hands on and assist in completing the following duties.

Supervise the UVC Light Team nightly and Crop Spray teams when required.
Follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations including PPE requirements with careful considerations regarding the operation of the UVC unit and spraying crops.
Ensure the team(s) comply with all PPE requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and all company policies and procedures.
Assist and oversee the operation of multiple UVC units within the greenhouse per schedule.
Oversee Crop Spray Teams at various locations per schedule.
Assist and oversee daily house keeping, ensuring work areas are free from debris and hazards.
Perform basic and minor machine troubleshooting, such as identifying and resolving simple issues or malfunctions that may arise during operation.
Monitoring and reporting maintenance needs for repairs or preventative maintenance to the Maintenance Department or performing minor repairs as needed
Provide coverage for UVC Light Team members who are absent.
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, Company data, and personnel information.
Complete required documentation, records and checklists including pre and post operational checklists, daily UVC Light Logs Sheets, Cleaning Procedure Checklists, Spray Logs etc. and submit to appropriate management personnel.
Provide immediate and appropriate medical assistance, including administering First Aid treatment, in situations where it is necessary and in accordance with company established protocols.
Additional duties as assigned by the company.

Job Requirements:

First aid certification is required in this role, will be provided by the company.
Supervisor experience is an asset but not a requirement.
Must be safety conscious at all times and follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision throughout the shift.
Excellent oral communication skills are essential. English is required; Spanish is required.
Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Must maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Good teamwork and management skills; able to work well with employees.
Must possess a sense of urgency to work in a time sensitive, fastpaced team environment.
Flexibility to change with new information and adapt to changing conditions and obstacles.
Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.

Working Conditions:

Required to work the night shift 6 nights per week, 68 hours per night. Shift start time will vary based on the season; 6PM start time in the winter months and 9PM start time in the summer.
UVC Light operation requires extensive training and will be provided by the company including First Aid training and certification.
The greenhouse may be hot, wet, humid, or cold at any time during the year.
There will be exposure to bees and various pests within the greenhouse.

Physical Requirements:

This is an active role where the majority of the shift will require walking, bending, pushing and pulling.

Salary:
Based on experience.
