About The Role:

We are currently seeking a hardworking individual to join our team as a Garden Centre Planting and Delivery Laborer.

This role demands physical strength, endurance, and a willingness to engage in a variety of labor-intensive tasks in all weather conditions.

As a crucial member of our team, you will assist with tasks such as loading and unloading trees, planting, and operating delivery vehicles.

Strong problem-solving skills are essential to overcome obstacles and ensure successful planting for our treasured customers.

Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service, and interacting with customers to ensure satisfaction and contribute to the overall success of our garden center.

Responsibilities:

Perform labor-intensive tasks including planting trees, shoveling, digging, loading, and unloading trees.
Careful manual planting of trees and shrubs in customers' yards. Working safely and efficiently as part of the planting crew.
Operate delivery vehicles to transport plants and supplies to customers as needed.
Work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and vehicles.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, and by having an enthusiastic and approachable attitude.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, and engage in physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Experience in performing repetitive tasks such as planting, shoveling, and digging, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to operate delivery vehicles.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field is preferred.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of gardening and planting is an asset, but not required.
