The role:
The role of the Chef is to manage a successful kitchen with strong leadership, creativity, excellent communication, new ideas to drive business and coaching fundamental skills to develop future culinary leaders.
This job is about being hands on in all aspects.
What You'll Need:
- 2 to 5 years of hands on experience as a Head Chef
- A Diploma or Degree in Culinary Studies is a definite asset
- Ability to bring creativity and passion to our cuisine
- Effective problem solver, multitasker and thrive in a fastpaced environment
- Track record of strong leadership in supervising and coaching staff
- Proficient at communicating clearly with managers, kitchen staff and dining staff
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Able to work in a standing position for up to 5 hours and work 50+ hours per week
- Safely lift, move, and maneuver objects of up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
- Food Handler Certificate
- First Aid Certificate is preferred
- Health and Safety Level 1 & 2 certifications an asset
- Reliable Transportation
