Who We Are:


The Role:

We are currently searching for a
Supervisor, Operations reporting to the Assistant Manager, Operations. This is a Full-Time Permanent opportunity. The availability to work all shifts in a 24-hour operation is necessary to succeed in this role.


Location:

On-site at the Winnipeg Distribution Centre


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Supervise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fleet and equipment and coordination of their delivery and return with dispatchers
  • Training of new and existing employees and performance management
  • Ensure vendors/service providers are meeting the needs of the operation in a timely and costefficient manner
  • Advise drivers on fleet/equipment related questions and provide training where necessary
  • Monitoring fleet related key budgetary accounts and ensure cost targets are met
  • Ensure the company's Health and Safety, Operational and Budgetary efficiencies are met
  • Exemplify the Company's dedication to customer service
  • Other responsibilities involve Inventory, Quality Control, SOX and Audit compliance
  • Maintain adherence to company fleet policies and MTO regulations
  • Perform other related projects and duties as required

Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:


  • 3+ years of Supervisory experience preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of operations experience
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment would be a strong asset
  • Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset

Skills:


  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • The ability to make sound decisions in a timely fashion
  • Proven leadership ability to effectively manage the team of direct reports
  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, Ministry of Transportation and WCB regulations
