As the Real Estate Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering on key Council objectives and priorities through the innovative, creative, and pragmatic use of real estate.
The Real Estate Services Manager provides branch level leadership, direction and management of a group of staff charged with the equitable and responsible acquisition and disposition of all forms of land and buildings for the City.
In addition, this manager is to be the in-house technical resource to all City departments on matters of Real Estate.

- 1. Overseeing the purchase of all lands required for City initiatives
- Identification and prioritization of land interests' acquisitions to meet Civic needs identified in various capital plans.
- Act as City expert in matters related to expropriation of land or interests in land.
- Overseeing the disposition of surplus City land and building assets
- Manage Real Estate contract.
- Identify and dispose of surplus City lands at maximum value (may include, rezoning, assembly, etc.).
- Development of Land Acquisition Estimates
- Implementation of DCC Review Process (land component)
- Annual update of DCC estimates (land)
- Oversee creation of land cost estimates for City infrastructure projects
- Internal Service Delivery
- Provide technical expertise to other departments in the areas of valuation, land rights/interests, market conditions and appropriate forms of land tenure.
- Participate as a primary advisor in the development review process (DRT).
- Development, implementation and maintenance of a Real Estate Services Transaction Manual.

- Develop, inspire, hire, assess, discipline and reward employees.
Manage budget:
- Development capital and operating annual budget.
- Management and procurement of consulting services as required (Land Agents, Surveyors, Appraisers, Business Valuators, etc.)
